Interested in MHD technology? Facinated by renewable energies? Neither were we, but we were assigned a project in conjunction with our engineering senior design class at the University of Arizona.
The project originated as Dr. Perry Li and Dr. Cho-Lik Chan at the U of A Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering entered the US EPA's P3: People, Prosperity, and the Planet Student Design Competition.
Several months later, the team has created a working prototype model of a new kind of solar power generator. For more on the team and the project, please peruse this web site.
Mission Statement:
"To produce a working prototype power generator that will use a conducting fluid in conjunction with magnets to transform solar energy into electric power in a clean and inexpensive manner"
